Footsteps of the Undead by Jamie Horwath (Book Review #617)

Footsteps of the undead is a short book written about Candice. She is an ex-hooker who happens to be making a video about how the zombies came about. At the same time, the military decides to bomb the infected cities down, and so Candice flees the place to save herself.

Candace has an encounter with one Zombie, which turns her feelings about them, and as she finds new friends on the way out, she has a few other encounters that begin to shape up the storyline. Her interactions with her new friends essentially change the perspective of how the story takes its steps into creating this interesting story.

The book was straightforward and written with care. The pace of the story remained the same, and although the scenes were action-packed, the layers weren’t that deep to create a huge dynamic change to the variety of possibilities one could imagine. Therefore, the read, besides the twisted ending, was an easy and enjoyable one.

I recommend this book to people who like to read about zombies.
