The Western Passage: Exodus by G. DiCarlo (Book Review #645)

The western passage is a fantasy novel written about the human and vampire race fighting against a group of scientists that have developed a genetic form of superhumans that threaten them.

The supernatural story definitely takes you on an adventure displaying a mixture of romance, exploration, and lots of drama. The story takes a turn for the worse when the morphs, muted hybrids, cause the humans into retreating. This matter insured their existence to an even harder situation.

I particularly enjoyed the dynamic between the characters. Marcus, Clio, Aya, were all very well created. The dialogue between them and the way the scenes were made to make sense of it all was admirable.

I believe the only thing the work would have benefited from was a deeper foundation. The story has so much potential in expanding, and for that to happen, a thorough background storyline would have allowed a more vibrant form of expansion.

I admire the authors work on providing delicate and unique layers of scenes that made the story stand out, and look forward to reading more of his work.
