Sons of Caasi: Battle For Time by P. C. Grant (Book Review #745)

Sons of Caasi is a young adult fiction. It is book one of the Sons of Caasi series and is written about a Powerful leader of the Royal Council of Spatium who has two sons. His firstborn, Sier, is expected to fulfill a prophecy and reign as Time-Ruler, and his second son, Amo, is entirely left out of the Finisher’s prophesies and is made to prove his worth to their father. Finisher is the creator of Spatium and its inhabitants. He is the one who chooses which Time- Ruler among the sons of Caasi is to reign over it.

Amo is not fond of the disposition he falls under, and by searching for a way to change his fate, he sets off a few chains of events that create a fascinating fantasy tale.

The work was beautifully put together. There were background images where the chapters began, and the literature was not filled with lots of otherworldly descriptive detail confusing the reader. Everything was to the point and easy to understand.

I exceptionally enjoyed Amo’s character. He had a very youthful and wanting to please attitude. It made the reader want him to succeed, and his relationship with Rachel was very sweet. A good friend is always what is needed in times when we need to confinement.

I would recommend this book to young adult readers and people who like fantasy novels.
