The Secret of Rosalita Flats by Tim W. Jackson (Book Review #848)

The secret of Rosalita Flats is a mystery humor set on a small Caribbean island, and it’s about Cal. He is a watchmaker and has inherited a big house he wants to get rid of. All he wants is to get off Blacktip Island and pay off his creditors. Things, however, do not go as he plans.

The literature is filled with descriptive naturistic scenes and writing. The casting characters weren’t anything special, but the lead character was very humorous and exciting to read.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Since the author has a background as a scuba diver, and I believe that helped him with the nature of the story. The pace of the story was steady, and the humor kept the reader intrigued.

Everything about the story was novel, and for that, I appreciated the effort made. The descriptions were detailed, and the tale drew parallels with what reality was. This added to the authenticity and innovative style of literature this book offered.

I recommend this book to anyone that likes fiction mystery and books that embed humor.
