The Girl Who Loved Cayo Bradley by Nina Romano (Book Review #916)

The girl who loved Cayo Bradley is a romance story about Darby McPhee. She happens to fall in love with a cowboy who comes from a horrific act in the past. Cayo is not happy about what has happened, and it torments him; however, when he meets Darby, things change. On the other hand, Darby is committed to a life she promised to her mother. She cares for her father and brothers since her passing. The love story then takes you on a journey of self-discovery, loss, and patience.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Set in New Mexico, Darby’s character is appealing. She is strong, determined, and in love. The reasons for them being a part were heartfelt. Their connection and romantic tension were described really well. The literature had a sweet flow to it, and the pace was steady, keeping you intrigued.

I fell in love with the story and felt the book cover did not justice its content. This romantic western book teaches you to sacrifice everything for the people you love and the ones you want to make happy.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes western romance novels.
