Love and Daisies by Jennifer L. Rowlands (Book Review #938)
Love and Daisies is a fictional story about a girl called Ella. She lives in a small town and lives a decent everyday life. As everything is running smoothly suddenly, the arrival of someone new brings in a tide of events that she did not anticipate.
Ella’s personality is strong, and her decisiveness is attractive. The concept of the story is romance and comedy. Each to its own stood firm and dominated the storyline. I enjoyed reading this book.
I wasn’t a big fan of the cover, but the title and its content did blend together. There were times when the scene’s intensity took you by surprise, which added a certain thrill to the mix. I admired the protagonist being a female. Her perception and demeanor definitely pulled the story together. The pace of the story was steady and at times made me smile.
I recommend this book to romance readers and fiction fans.

Interesting! As luck would have it, I had read “The Locket” by this author, and the main character there was a man. I agree with the reviewer about the cover, as that might not make me want to reach over to the “order” button, but that fact that “Daisies” has a comedy base will likely change my mind. If the pace is like her other book I have read, then I’m “in.”
