The Scars of Gaia by R. P. Lauer (Book Review #1108)

The scars of Gaia is a science fiction story about swords and sorcery. It begins with James struggling to provide for himself and his mother. He meets Claire, a scientist, and both take a journey of self-discovery and so much more.

The world-building and the division between the two nations were interesting to read. The world of Gaia is torn, and the covets differences, in my opinion, is what made them stronger.

The story is told in two parts. Each chapter has a beautifully illustrated design. The story is very well written, and the literature is descriptive. This added so much depth and visual imagination to the premise.

I recommend this book to those who like to read fantasy material.
