Stolen Moments of Joy by Hamour Baika (Book Review #1320)

Stolen Moments of Joy is a contemporary LGBT story for an adult audience. The story begins with Abdul and his destructive relationship with Cliff. Abdul is a gay Afghan, and at the young age of only 24, he doesn’t really know what to do.

It is clear to see that Abdul and Cliff are not getting along, but above all, the abuse is not acceptable. Abdul does meet someone else and has instant chemistry with him; however, it isn’t classed as a new relationship and is just a sexual encounter.

The story is interesting to read and does keep you intrigued; however, at times, I was wondering where it is eventually going to lead. The dynamic of the tale isn’t too complex, and it is fiction with lots of drama.

I recommend this book to fiction readers and LGBT story fans.
