‘Dad Died, Then Mom’ is a non-fiction memoir about how the author remembers her parents and provided care as a family caregiver.
Malia explains how it feels to lose both parents and how much love and care goes into this journey that inevitably happens to every one of us.
What I predominantly enjoyed about this book was how everyone got together instead of falling apart. Normally through the amount of pressure, emotional acceptance and overall grief, family members do not fall into unity. However, in this case, you get to see the opposite.
I also enjoyed how the author relayed the story. Whether you have lost a dear one or are currently dealing with such an emotional ordeal, this book would be beneficial for you.
