The Last Lumenian by S.G. Blaise (Book Review #1552)

‘The Last Lumenian’ is a science fiction story filled with fantasy elements. It begins with Princess Lilla and her failed mission in space. She has magic and powers that she isn’t familiar with. Her life is filled with action, adventure, and many obstacles. You get to read how she navigates all these pressures of making choices while she learns how to control her magic and find the arch god who is searching for the Limenian, the children of the arch goddess.

The world-building is what stands out. Lilla grows up living in a palace and knows all the rules and regulations that come with that, but her spirit is wild and cannot be formed in these do’s and don’ts. The additional baggage of wanting to know more about her lost mother also adds richness to the story.

The work is written well and is nicely put together. Lillas’s personality delivers an entertaining and unique perspective to the story. There is a diverse number of components shaping up this story. War, romance, and psychological aspects of the plotline were much appreciated.

I recommend this book to fantasy fans and those who like to read unique stories.
