I would like to firstly thank lifesfinewhine for graciously nominating me for this lovely award.

I’m always told that I work really hard and that I need to take a break. Having people that recognize that, and nominate me for awards like this, make up for all the work that does go on this website.
As per rules of this award, I am to state 7 facts about myself.
I hope that you accept the nomination and participate in return.
Thank you,

Lean Stone Book Club kindly requested these short book reviews.
Etiquette is a wonderful book written about how you should behave and interact in social situations. Whether it is a family event or an official work related gathering, this book attempts to inform you on basic civil behavior that would increase your likeability and social calendar.
The only thing that I could recommend in improving this book would be to include pictures. The additional images would assist the reader in understanding the etiquettes such as, dinner table arrangements and other forms of mannerism that require measuring.
Nothing is more delighting to read about how much our mind and spirits are dependants, to social interactions. When the Internet and social networking now consumes all of our lives, many of our youth and even young adults are denied the knowledge of how to behave when they are at a party or a restaurant. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wishes to learn more on how to act when publicly interacting.
Afternoon Tea is a book written about everything to do with tea. It informs the reader on how to select your tea and recipes to compliment it. The book also manages to cover some historical facts about tea, which I enjoyed. Being British as I am, tea is very important in our culture and to read about how to prepare a perfect afternoon having tea, was very interesting to me.
I felt the book is ideally suited for an audience that appreciates a good cup of tea and nothing could beat the fact that a little knowledge of etiquette, can go a long way as well. I recommend this book to anyone that cares about tea and socializing.

I would like to send a big thank you to Sam’s life in books for nominating me! I feel very blessed and appreciate to be chosen for this wonderful award!
As part of the rules for the award, Sam has asked me these questions:
1.What (or who) inspired you to get into blogging?
I loved to write and kept talking about the books I read to my father. He suggested that I start a blog and let people know of my thoughts.
2. Describe your ideal three-course meal?Â
I’ll have a four cheese spinach dip for starters, a New York steak for the main meal and a cheesecake for desert.
3. Would you consider naming any future children after fictional characters, if so which characters?
I would not. I like names that are historic and have actual meaning to it.
My nominees: (I am only nominating 9)

This is a book written about the benefits of practicing Fasting. As we all may know, fasting has been best known for its religious connections, however; this book discusses matter beyond that. It also emphasizes as a way to losing weight, to cleanse and to heal as well.
In the beginning, I was very intrigued to see what the book was going to offer and it did not disappoint. I particularly liked where the author discusses how fasting can even benefit people with mental health. It was very hard for me to find anything bad about the book and so I recommend it to anyone that wishes to know more about fasting, its history, and benefits.
This history book is a great addition to everything you need to know about Africa. It begins with explaining the three African civilizations, moving on to the Ancient Egyptians and the history of the great cities. The book is filled with references and backdates of many historical facts such as the great Zimbabwe Empire or the Kongo Kingdom followed by the European Colonization.
Africa is a great read on a nice weekend with a generous, warm cup of tea. It takes you back to many years ago and makes you forget about the world you live in now. The literature was very easy to understand, and the pace of the history telling was in a well-formatted way keeping you wanting to know more.
I recommend this book to anyone that likes to read on history and is interested in Africa.

“There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there.”
