Manna City: A Post-Apocalyptic Survival Thriller by Geoffrey Pierce (Book Review #458)

Manna City is a science fiction story written in a post-apocalyptic world. People live in harsh environments but still remain having hope and Nista is nine months pregnant, starving.

Her situation is not good and her husband, Dane thinks she is losing her mind because she can hear the voice of her unborn child.  Losing their 10-year-old son does not make the situation any better either. This dark fiction does not disappoint, as Nista believes that someone is going to save them.

Manna city is filled with beasts and killers. The author draws this mythical land to be of some adventure and every time you think that you have got it all figured out, he turns the table on the reader.

I found the literature to be well written. The content and language are somewhat disturbing and caution is given to young adult readers wanting to approach this book. The tale entwines you into feeling every moment of the main characters feelings and thoughts. You can easily envision the scenes and it gives you that notion of thought once you have finished reading it.

I recommend this book to science fiction fans and people that enjoy reading fantasy.
