Far away and further back by Patrick Burns (Book Review #543)

Far away and further is a memoir written with the delicate texture of descriptions explaining in detail Patrick’s life. It describes his challenges, experiences, background and his travels. As a corporate nomad, he explores many avenues sharing some disadvantages welcoming us to an insightful world that he appreciated.

What did exist was honesty and a journey worth telling. The literature was elementary to follow and read. It was written in such a way that you could quickly draw images in your mind and picture the encounters. This memoir was filled with excitement, laughter, joy, love, history, wonder and more.

You really get to travel the world with this book. I found the work to be suitable for young adult readers and alike. The historical events follow one after each other putting places together, allowing the reader to understand who Patrick is. One thing I really appreciated was the honest embedded within the content. It is not easy to express emotions or encounters in such detail and be very open about it.

I believe anyone that wants to read on expat assignments and enjoys memoirs would appreciate this book.
