Akkadia
Akkadia was led by Kind Sargon for over 50 years. He is the first kind in history! King Sargon united some of the Sumerian cities discussed in the previous lesson but later on they fell under the ownership of Babylonia.
Babylon
Babylonians were led by a man named, Hammurabi. They were the ones that conquered the southern Sumerian cities and created an empire. They built roads creating easier travel routes and better trading. Hammurabi is famous for creating 282 laws, which was the first-time laws were written.

The first humans lived in what is called the Paleolithic Era. It is also known as the Stone Age. These people were hunters and they collected things they found. They moved from place to place in order to survive and divided chores between themselves in order to get all their needs met on time.
Most humans followed animals in order to find better places to live. They were like immigrants traveling long distances. The Ice Age migrated humans towards warmer lands. Humans walked and reached every continent except Antartica, taking roughly one million years. Now that is a long time to travel the world.
Art was a form of telling stories and was used as a form of communication between the Paleolithic people. They used animal fat to make paint.

I
am going to start by talking about Historians. It is important to know this before we even begin to learn about the past. Historians are scholars that study the past by using whatever records they can find. For instance, they use historic art or read letters, study religious documents, and community records.
If we want to study the time where none of these recourses were available then the study of prehistory will rely on Archaeology. These are scientists who study objects made by humans.
It is good to also know that there are Anthropologists that study the cultural aspect of human society. They study the clothes, what they ate, how custom was, and what language they spoke.
Now we can begin with the first humans. What did they look like? Well, the first humans looked nothing like us. Scientists believe that we most likely were descended from early forms of apes. Early human-like creatures look something between apes and us.
The first humans are called the HOMINIDS. There are many types of them but the famous ones are Australopithecus (4 million years ago), Homo Habilis (2 million years ago), Homo Erectus (roughly 1.5 million years ago), Homo Sapiens (roughly 400,000 years ago), Homo Sapiens Sapiens (roughly 200,000 years ago).
That’s it, folks. If you enjoyed today’s chalk talk then come back tomorrow for more.

Chapter 1: Lesson 1: PhrasesI believe we first must begin with understanding what Grammar actually means.
Grammar is the structure of a language. It is not about what words mean but how they form and fit together. It is about how words are arranged in a sentence and provide rules that explain how they get used.
A phrase is a group of words that act as single part of a speech. It can be a noun, adjective, adverb or even a preposition.
Preposition – A word or group of words that show direction, location, or time, or introduce an object.
Let’s start with examples:
Maria’s favorite sweater was hanging from the line.
John found the sunset to be heart-stoppingly beautiful.
Before class, I crammed for the test.
Sally took his pet lizard into the house.

A NEW CHANGE
I am opening a new chapter here at Review Tales. It has been a while since I have wanted to make some changes and broaden the topics and subjects discussed on this website. As versatile as Review Tales is, I have decided to add some English and History lessons to the content of the page.
I know that I have many followers from across the world. English is not everyone’s first language and so I believe it will benefit them as much as it will benefit us, in refreshing our knowledge.
History is what makes and shapes us today. It is important, in my opinion, to learn from the past in order to create a better world.
The Topics For English Will Be:
Grammar
Language
Reading Fiction
Reading Nonfiction
Writing
The Topics For History Will Be:
The First Humans
First Civilizations
The Middle Ages
Renaissance and Reformation
The Age of Exploration
Revolution and Enlightenment
The Era of Imperialism
World Conflicts in the Early Twentieth Century
Post World War II: The World from 1945 to Today
I would love to hear your thoughts and if you are interested in this new chapter, then let me know!

I would like to firstly thank lifesfinewhine for graciously nominating me for this lovely award.

I’m always told that I work really hard and that I need to take a break. Having people that recognize that, and nominate me for awards like this, make up for all the work that does go on this website.
As per rules of this award, I am to state 7 facts about myself.
I hope that you accept the nomination and participate in return.
Thank you,

Lean Stone Book Club kindly requested these short book reviews.
Etiquette is a wonderful book written about how you should behave and interact in social situations. Whether it is a family event or an official work related gathering, this book attempts to inform you on basic civil behavior that would increase your likeability and social calendar.
The only thing that I could recommend in improving this book would be to include pictures. The additional images would assist the reader in understanding the etiquettes such as, dinner table arrangements and other forms of mannerism that require measuring.
Nothing is more delighting to read about how much our mind and spirits are dependants, to social interactions. When the Internet and social networking now consumes all of our lives, many of our youth and even young adults are denied the knowledge of how to behave when they are at a party or a restaurant. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wishes to learn more on how to act when publicly interacting.
Afternoon Tea is a book written about everything to do with tea. It informs the reader on how to select your tea and recipes to compliment it. The book also manages to cover some historical facts about tea, which I enjoyed. Being British as I am, tea is very important in our culture and to read about how to prepare a perfect afternoon having tea, was very interesting to me.
I felt the book is ideally suited for an audience that appreciates a good cup of tea and nothing could beat the fact that a little knowledge of etiquette, can go a long way as well. I recommend this book to anyone that cares about tea and socializing.
