A burning in the Darkness is a crime thriller, love story about Father Michael Kieh. His job is to listen to people’s confessions as a full-time faith representative. One day, as he is conducting his work he listens to the confessions of a murderer. When a murder happens at the airport, he recognizes one of the victims and that is when he finds himself in a twisted tale of wrongful conviction. There is a young witness that can prove Kieh’s innocence and there are painful memories of the past that resurface, creating some epic tale of events which follow through. The murder mystery also carries a hint of romance which was pleasantly added to the plot. Kieh has to face the past, his actions and try to overcome everything that gets thrown in his path in order to create a better future.
The story is very intriguing and entails some heartfelt memories from childhood for the lead character. Michael is very easy to bond with and his predicament creates a situation where you can easily relate to his suffering.
The literature was in good shape however, there were some problems with editing, and sentence structure noticed within the content. The story had a nice flow and pace to it which added more suspense to the reader.
Many books claim to be a crime thriller however, they only succeed in fulfilling the crime part of the story. There is normally no thrilling aspect to it. This book is not one of them. The story is truly a thriller to read and I recommend it to anyone that enjoys this aspect, in a book.

Jane Austen was an English novelist known primarily for her six major novels, which interpret, critique and comment upon the British landed gentry at the end of the 18th century. Austen’s plots often explore the dependence of women on marriage in the pursuit of favorable social standing and economic security. Her works critique the novels of sensibility of the second half of the 18th century and are part of the transition to 19th-century literary realism. WIKI.

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of “Stalking the Shadows” by BJ Edwards]
Stalking the Shadows is a complex historical fantasy story set around 12,000 years ago in megalithic Britain. The climate is harsh and fear lives amongst the Neandethals, one of the last surviving clans. As the story begins, it is clear that there is a rivalry between the homo Neanderthals and the Homo Sapiens.
Hamek, is the chief of the Homo Sapiens. Hamek’s son, Dimek, is injured on a hunt trying to prove his manhood to his father. Two men of the Neanderthals help him and take him in, teaching him their ways. When Hamek, is notified by this, he attacks the Neandethal tribe and kills everyone including the ones that helped his son. An elder of the tribe, who knows magic, curses Hamek’s tribe and that is when his land becomes scarcity of food. As the living situation become harsher Dimek and Drushuk, another powerful elder figure in the tribe, set off with a few others to find better living conditions for their people. Hamek, is very angry at them leaving and sends Mugra to bring them back. Mugra finds Dimek and Drushuk and instead challenges them to a fight. Drushuk intervens calling on the Gods. Here is, in my opinion, where the story changes perspective. There are dark Gods and good Gods within the content of the story. When Hamek realizes that Mugra betrayed him, he asks for him to be killed. Mugra wants revenge and pledges to become chief instead.
Two sets of armies emerge with the support of two sets of Gods. Dimel and Drushuk’s army battle against Mugra’s army. Each army is supported by their own set of Gods. Continue Reading….

The ’69 is a fictional novel written about Jack. He and his late father were just beginning to get along and to bond before he passes away. Jack is left with some unresolved psychological matters when his own son grows and wishes to have a relationship with him. Jack then has to overcome the issues that are affecting his relationship with his son.
I found the story to be written in a very nice way. The tale begins moving from the past to the present and then back to the past, in order to cover the back story. The author spends much time on description and detail of the scene, which was nice as it enabled me to visualize the surrounding.
The character development was strong. The author succeeds in fully grabbing the reader’s attention. Jack’s emotions and how he overcomes the hardship he faces makes you immediately feel strong and sympathetic towards him. His relationship with his wife was really well written.
The pace of the story is not fast nor slow and the momentum remains consistency until the end. I believe that the author has great potential in producing well written – similar style of work in this genre.
I recommend this book to fiction readers.

Long Island’s Top Four Most Haunted Places By Michael Phillip Cash
It’s no secret that I love all things paranormal. My book series, A Haunting on Long Island, contains four separate books, all about ghostly hauntings and paranormal happenings.
I live on Long Island, New York, which is 118 miles long and 23 miles wide and filled with beaches, scenic views, historic landmarks and….ghosts. When I was recently asked to list my four most haunted Long Island locations. I knew right away which ones I’d choose!
Mount Misery & Sweet Hollow Road
Tales of angry and vengeful Native Americans abound at this famous camping area. Through in the unconfirmed legend of a 1700s insane asylum mysteriously burning to the ground and you have the perfect storm for some truly hair-raising ghostly encounters. One of my kids went to camp around here for a day. Never again!
Kings Park Psychiatric Center
Resembling the set of a horror flick instead of the long abandoned, dilapidated hospital it’s become, Kings Park Psychiatric Center is creepy enough to send spine-tingling chills down even the most experienced ghost hunter. Built in 1885, the hospital started out as a way to provide humane care to psychiatric patients. But during the 1950s the place took a turn to give way to experimental treatments like lobotomies and electro shock therapy. Some people swear the screams of former patients can still be heard coming from behind the walls late at night. What do I think? It’s a great place to relax and chill for the night…just kidding.
Lake Ronkonkoma
As Long Island’s largest lake, Lake Ronkonkoma is full of haunted activity. Even the lake itself is said to be haunted. Reported as the bottomless lake, it’s said that Lake Ronkonkoma is filled with the unfortunate souls who have tragically drowned over the years. Scary, scary place. Don’t go there, especially at night.
Raynham Hall in Oyster Bay
Raynham Hall in historic Oyster Bay was once a twenty-room house owned by the prestigious Townsend family. It’s since been preserved and turned into a historic museum, open to the public. Paranormal groups have captured strange EVPs (electronic voice phenomenon), mysterious smells, floating orbs and other ghostly activity.
Raynham Hall was the backstory to the third installment of my A Haunting on Long Island series, The After House. Huge inspiration. Great haunted house.

Price of Eden is the third book in the Aquarius Rising. Following the aftermath of what happens in book two, tensions are high. Global warming has had its effect on the coastal cities. Many of them are under water. There is a breed of half human – half dolphin residing in the waters. The story focuses on Ocypode this time. A tribe of whales sees him as the storm- slayer, the one that is going to bring peace. As always, nothing comes easy for the hybrids. Ocypode’s destiny and the fate of this world are determined in this nonstop action thriller story.
The author has once again created a masterpiece. This science fiction novel is written with many analogies and vocabulary terms, which none science fiction fans might find hard to understand, however, the story is so appealing that I believe it would not affect the enjoyment of the plot.
………….
…………..
There is a special something in the way this author builds this fantasy world. I felt this in reading his previous work and again in this one as well. You really do feel for the characters and wish wholeheartedly for them to survive the ordeals they are put through. There is a very nice flow and connectivity between the chapters and the storyline. The plot is superbly put together and delivers a beautiful ending.
I believe that you would benefit from reading the first and second book before approaching this one. I recommend this book to any science fiction fan and anyone that likes a good full on action saga.
