The Gift of the Quoxxel by Richard Titus (Book Review #517)

The Gift of the Quoxxel is a whimsical tale about King Norr. This children’s book is about the king wanting to get out of his island and experience life to the fullest. His life is ideal, and he pretty much has everything he wants. However, everything to him has not been experienced, and so the journey begins.

As you get to meet many funny characters and sideline stories that felt exciting, the story in its entirety may have been hard to grasp due to its word choices and silliness. While this feature and the colorful illustrations made the book suitable for kids and children’s to read, for adults, I believe the work may have not been as enjoyable.

 

The literature had its own glossary and was very unique to the taste. I believe in order to understand the story better, one would have needed to see the world from the protagonists perspective. The imagination and cunning approach towards the tale made it one of a kind.

I recommend this book to kids who like science fiction and humorous tales.
